Language Lab
The language laboratory is very useful for improving one’s communication skill. It provides students with the technical tools to get the best samples of pronunciation of the language. The electronic devices used in the laboratory stimulate the eyes and ears of the learner to acquire the language quickly and easily. The laboratory’s collection is designed to assist learners in the acquisition and maintenance of aural comprehension, oral and written proficiency and cultural awareness. The language laboratory offers broadcasting, television programmes, web-assisted materials and videotaped off-air recordings in the target language. In short, a learner can get the experience of having interaction with native speakers through the laboratory, Hence, the language laboratory has become the need of the hour in any language learning process for communication. Through continuous practice students learn how to use English effectively with ease and with minimal interference of mother tongue. Training in soft skills helps them fine tune their capabilities and realize their potentials.
Rules and Regulation for Labs
- Maintain Discipline in the LAB.
- Any type of removable devices likes CD & PEN DRIVES are not allowed.
- Mobile phones should be switched off or silent.
- Systems should be properly Shut Down by the students
- The chairs should be properly placed by the user.
- Do not bring bags, food and drink into the lab.
- Do not change the settings in the computer
- Report all problems related to the system to the lab instructor
- Internet facility is strictly for educational purposes only.
About Library
The Library is the heart of any Institution. Books, Readers and Staff are the basic trinity of the Library and the best interaction among these three basic constituents brings the desired effects in an institution.The Library of USBM is an excellent well-stocked computerized one with all the required reading materials. The Library is enriched with books of academic interest, Journals, periodicals and various electronic information sources. The Library also provides Current Awareness Service (CAS) and Reprographic facility to the students. All students have access to college library, which offers facility and service on a wide range of materials to support academic pursuit of Students.
Library Automation
The Library is partially –automated, the circulation of books started in the year 2017 using e-Granthalaya Library Management Software.
As students strength in the B-school increased, there was a need to install a more enumerative and user friendly ILMS. The library has migrated to KOHA ILMS; the automation under this is going on smoothly.

Library Resources
Organising the Collection on the Shelf
The Library follows Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) System for classification of books and organizing the collection on the shelf. For cataloguing the library is making use of MARC II format.
Books
The Library has successfully built up a comprehensive collection of over 13000 books covering different branches of knowledge. Besides, books, monographs, conference proceedings etc. are a part of this collection. This collection is located on the First floor stack area next to the Circulation Desk.
E Book
The Library also provides an online access to over 9109 books published by Proquest in electronic form.
Course Reserve (CR) Collection
Course Reserve (CR) Collection consists of textbooks, journal articles, conference papers, faculty PPT files (digital), lecture notes and other reading materials recommended by the respective faculty members for different courses for each Semester. Most materials change from semester to semester, based on the course requirements. These materials are kept at the Circulation Desk and are meant for reference only within the library against Identity Card.
Journals/Magazines
The Library receives in print over 35 scholarly journals besides a host of magazines and newspapers. These are displayed in alphabetical order in the reading hall on the first floor. List of all these journals is displayed on the notice boards and sufficient copies are kept in the reading area for immediate reference and consultation.

Admission to Library
Only students and the faculty members are allowed to enter the library; they have to produce I-cards, on demand. Books, umbrellas, bags and such other articles which are prohibited shall be kept at the entrance of the library i.e. the property counter.
Conduct within the Library
Silence shall be strictly maintained in the Library. Spitting, smoking, and sleeping are strictly prohibited. No person shall write upon, damage or make any mark which will disfigure the beauty of library documents such as books, journals, charts, the furniture, fittings, etc. The user concerned or a group of users will be held responsible for any damage done by him/her/them to the books or other property of the library. He /She/ They will be required to replace such Book(s) or other properties damaged or pay the cost with fine. Tearing or cutting of books will be seriously viewed. Before leaving the Library, a particular user shall return any book manuscripts, journals and dailies taken by him/her for consultation.
Rules
The following rules and regulations are to be followed by the members (bonafide students, faculty members and staff) of the College
- No student is allowed to enter the reading room without his/her own identity card.
- A user can take help of library staff for search of Books. The users are entitled to use reading room for self study from the books/journals/magazines available in the library;
- Use of speaker phone/head phone is not allowed in the library. The digital Library is allowed in slow voice for reading purpose.
- Use of mobile phones inside the library is strictly prohibited. Users are required to keep their mobile phones switched off.
- Smoking, drinking, eating or chewing of tobacco, sleeping, loitering, gossiping inside the library is strictly forbidden. Appropriate action will be taken for breaking of rules.
- Users assume the obligation of keeping the library materials in good condition. Materials damaged, defaced or lost must have to be replaced by a fresh copy. Otherwise, cost of the book at current/market price will be realised from the borrower.
- Disfiguration, damage or marking of any kind on any book or any other material be-longing to the library is punishable with new Book/material.
- Mutual conversation inside the library is not allowed. Similarly, any unruly behaviour is not allowed in the library. This is of utmost importance to allow each member to have a calm environment within the library
- Suggestions for desirable help or improvement of facilities in the library can be submit-ted, preferably in written form, to the Librarian.
- Readers should be courteous to the librarian, library staff and fellow students.
- Library cards are not transferable.
- All the users may please get the books checked while making an exit from the library.
- If in any case the authority feels a student/user is disturbing other users, he/she may be disallowed entry into the library.
- Admission to the library may be refused to anyone who violates the Library Rules and Regulations.
Magazines/Newspaper
The library subscribes to 10 magazines, 11 newspapers and also Employment news according to the needs of the students and academic community.
Other Resources
The library also holds a collection of some personality development books and spiritual books, Project Reports, Dissertations, Question Banks, Annual Reports, Conference Proceedings etc. for benefit of the students’ community
M-OPAC( Library App has been introduced in our Library)
- M-OPAC app displays consolidated library data at a glance.
- Users can search books by different tags like: Title, Author, Publisher, Subject and Keywords.
- Users would be able to see information regarding the book like Author, Publishers, Publish year, Accession numbers with Series code, ISBN, Call No (Classification Number + Book Number), Quantity of Book etc.
- M-OPAC allows access to registered users as well as unregistered (guest) users.
Library Committe
The Library committee meets at regular intervals for selecting latest and relevant books and augmenting other services. The committee is headed by the principal and includes senior faculty members, librarian being the convener.

Medical Facility
A well-equipped dispensary under qualified doctors with first aid provisions for minor ailments and emergencies is maintained by the institute in order to look after the general state of health of the students in the institute as well as the hostels. Specialists visit the campus at least twice a month to ensure good health of the day scholars, staff and the inmates of the hostel.
Lecture Room
Spacious, acoustically designed, and air conditioned classrooms equipped with LCD projectors and public address systems, facilitate course delivery through the use of audio-visual inputs, from slide presentations to video clips and video lessons, which make the learning process more effective, memorable and practical. With Wi-Fi facility and LCDs, the teaching learning process takes place in a high-tech environment where teacher inputs, textbooks and the internet guide one to the heights of excellence.
